h_ricker Jul 31, 2003 10:20 PM

I checked and the largest and best known Corn Breeders
use Okeetee spelling when talking about Jasper County corn snakes or Okeetees. While visiting there I saw several business and this big sign with the spelling Okatie.

Which is correct??

No big deal , just checking if anyone knew for sure correct spelling.

I hope to attach a picture taken in Jasper County

I think the spelling most of us use(Okeetee) originates from the Okeetee Hunt Club, which most people know of from Kauffeld's book. So I would say that would be the correct spelling, since that's how it originally got attached to corn snakes.
