Calling the ball python genetics . . .

alicecobb Jun 09, 2006 05:28 PM

wizards. I need help trying to figure out what I would get if I breed a 100% het albino to a pied (recessive). Out of a clutch of 4 I know I would get all normal looking ball pythons, but what would they be het for? 100% pied? 100% DH pied/albino? 50% DH pied/albino?

How about if a breed the same 100% het albino to a pastel (co-dominant)?

All help appreciated

pied x 100% het albino =
All 100% het pied 50% double het pied/albino

In the first pairing you would get all 100% het pied that are also 50% het for albino. The second pairing you would get half normals, half pastels and all would be 50% poss. het albino. Andy.

If you read the whole original post, she asked about breeding a 100% het albino to a pastel.

Actually she asks about a Pied/Albino. Pastel was never mentioned. O)
