cage building plans

beachbeardies Jun 10, 2006 02:38 AM

does anyone out there have plans to build a nice cage for beardeds? i am not very talented in designing myself, but i can follow directions and build very well. LOL i know its weird but its true. im trying to get away from using all glass cages. most plans i find are for all screen cages, which i dont like, or use alot of glass which gets very expensive also. thanks

I use melamine with glass fronts for all my enclosure, well not my big boa or Iguana cages. Pics are out of date but I think you get the idea. If you are interested I can walk you through the design and construction.

The top pick is my boa cages built the same as the Bearded cages below however, I don't have a current pick of the beardies cages they look the same as the boas fronts and glass.

I currently have one corn snake and a adult male leopard gecko. I am getting a Hogg Island Boa soon, and I have been looking into building some cages. I really like your design, I think it seems really functional. How do you put heat pads in?...or can't you? Also, how difficult/ expensive is this project. I have some woodworking experience, and I have access to a work shop... Could you give me some help?

Thanks so much.
Jess
