My car is back on the road and I'm thinking of coming to Val Verde for a night or two. Nutz to the full moon. If the conditions are good, the alterna will be there. It isn't like the bend where the cowardly herps hide for a week either side of a full moon.

That third movie now just titled BIG BEND is looking for a cast calling of an older gentleman that can smoke non-stop! LOL ~ I'm still here in the mid-west central Kansas but planning the BIG trip about the same time as to the filming in July. Wouldn't you agree that some, most of us really veteran and very seasoned hunters don't put much faith in that lunar phase theory ? I for one even though it has just been about a dozen trips, has found just as many herps roaming on the near-full moon cycle as to the opposite. In fact as we all know, I have seen nights of PERFECTION with the dark of the moon not producing ANYTHING compared to finding lots of those dozen trips with near-full moon. I have always thought one very big reason of this lunar phase reasoning is because of that very theory and actually keeping people from trying. Ya know : theory and or a few observations leads to a mainstay thought and or blanket theory...........really would like to see some positively scientific evidence of this. Maybe there is some ?...
