Mealworms in the Fridge ?

I heard about putting mealworms in the fridge, i've never tried it yet i always just kept them in my room. So if i put them in the fridge will they last longer? and what setting should the fridge be at? my fridge is on the coldest setting, is that alright? thnx to all who reply

I put all of my mealworms in the fridge and they have lasted monthes!! It works well just give them oatmeal and a tuberware and they will do fine!!

Putting them in the refrigerator puts them in an artificial winter, in dormancy. It keeps them from growing at their normal speed and pupating.
