Finally a really good picture!

I have been trying to capture the true color of my babies forever. I tried taking photos on an all white back ground some years ago. It didn't work. I tried on an all black background. That didn't work either. Today I tried all white again with the camera I have had for over a year. I set the white balance and badda boom, badda bang! I HAVE arrived! The best pictures I have ever taken. I am so pumped I can't put it into words! This is almost perfect. The red is a little less red than reality but it almost there or at least the closest I have gotten.

This is a Scarlet Monster Tail Hypo baby born May 29, 2006. Aberrant like its Daddy only more so. About half the babies are aberrant. Hypos and non-hypos alike.

What do you think of this little one? Should I keep it?

Beautyful snake. Looks like a jungle with that pattern. Here is a picture of a baby that your scarlet hypo male produced. And you are right the reds don't show.
Keep it,Andreas

This is my female 05 Harlequin hypo a week ago. With all of the babies you have over there I think you could sell that one. Dibbs!! LOL Very nice Jeff.

[CENTER]We were fortunate to have a mess of Scarlet Monster Tail Hypo babies on May 29th. I just took a mess of pictures of most of them. No second shots just the first shots as they came off the camera. A relatively small litter for the size of this female but since we were actually expecting slugs, we'll be happy with the babies we had. Plus about half of them have aberrancies like their six year old father. I produced him in the first litter produced by The original "Monster Tail" female.

Here she was when she was about three years old in about 1996:

I have been trying to breed him for four years. Finally babies! Here he is, the father of this litter:

The mother is a great looking Jim Peters Pastel. She produced a bunch of the Scarlet Hypos we had for the first time three years ago. Here is a picture of Mom while gravid with Scarlet Hypos three years ago:

Here are some of the Scarlet Monster Tail Hypos and non-hypos in no particular order:

What a litter! The parents are absolutely perfect. Thanks for posting those pictures. Curious as to why you thought you were going to get slugs? Any pics of the pastel monstertail hypo babies from last season? Thanks.

Nice!
She reminds me a lot of what this girl looked like as a neonate:
