I've heard 60 gallons quoted as the minimum, I'm not sure how this translates into volume. The bigger the better. The dimensions you quoted sound like they may be equivalent to a 60, but don't take my word for it. If you're starting out with a baby, it may not be as critical and you could upgrade as he grows.
