Just leave it be.It takes time for them to shed. You don't want to leave a bowl of water in there it could lead to big problems. It will come off in time.

A small amount of baby oil can help sometimes. I use it occasionally and usually within 2-3 days the rest of the skin comes right off.

Small meaning 2-3 drops.

When you apply it do you put it directly on the shedding skin that's hanging off? My uro has some left right behind his shoulders (looks like a cape)thats been there awhile.

I would put in on his body directly where the skin is still attached. The only time I really use it is if the skin is being built up. But if the hanging skin has been there a while and isnt peeling off just try a drop or 2. It will take 2-3 days normally for it to peel off and if it doesnt try soaking him for 4-5minutes under hot running water annd then wait another day or 2. If you soak him just make sure you completely dry him off. You dont want any water stuck in his tail or anywhere else.

I know all about the tail and wetness. But he hates being soaked so I'll probably go with the oil. It's just one piece it looks like a little cape.
