Hi,

I am looking for a diet for my roach colonies that is full of vitamins and will produce many roaches. CHeap would also be nice. I now have many roaches so need lots of food. Please let me know what you feed your roaches.

I use "Special Kitty" cat chow (blue bag) from Walmart. Dog chows work well, too--just check for added dyes & unnecessary preservatives & additives. It's cheap & has no added dyes. I breed 8 different tropical roach species; some eat more chow than others. The chow is mostly for protein & fats, carbs are from fruit and vegetables.

Forgot to add--Non-medicated chicken egg-laying mash is great for protein & high in calcium. I use this as my alternate source of protein & mineral nutrition.
