Any thoughts on what a Pastel Ivory would look like?

ghireptiles Jun 10, 2006 09:56 PM

Probably like the pastel albino...nothing much.

From what I hear its the same as a normal Ivory just the stripe is different colored. I talked to SK last October in Chicago and I thought they said they produced one last year. But it would be far different than the pastel albino.

The Pastel Ivory does not look much different than a regular Ivory from the pics that were in the RDR journal last year.

Before the ivory was common knowledge, people were breeding the yellowbell to pastel to create a prettier pastel.

Better question would: Does anyone have a picture of a "super pastel" yellowbelly?

BlakeDeffenbaugh Jun 11, 2006 09:27 AM

I seen the super pastel YB last october. Its awesome. I'd say email SK about it. They also have a awesome Mojave YB.

I think i might have produced two yellow belly pastels. I believe the mom to be yellow belly. Just have to prove it out. The one normal siblings belly looks diffrent also. At any rate I had two clutches this year. 17 eggs and 10 where pastels so Ill take them odds regardless of the yellow belly thing.
Happy Breeding,
Casey

the yellow belly gene seems to enhance the yellows of the pastel.
