i was wondering what might cause a skink to have trouble breathing, have to breath through its mouth at times, and have to sit with its head up after drinking to swallow/breath. i am concerned. please help. thanks.

sounds suspiciously of early signs of a respiratory infection. some lizards and boids tip their head up but not usually until the infection is pretty bad.

any foamy mucous around mouth thats more than usual?

some blueys are just weird. appetite normal? temps?

there doesn't seem to be any mucus or anything. the temps are around 80 low, 100 basking spot. it has been going on for a while, and it is a young berber skink.
