Interesting bit of information...

I was so informed by the reptile store I purchased Bonnie and Clyde from that they can only sell one type of collared lizard. If this years batch are the same as last years, they are the

Wc Easterns.

Now I didn't bother asking why but it does seem odd before I get the official story, anyone have any ideas.

Oh fyi I am and live in SoCal and deal with Reptile Depot.

Although I live on the east coast, I have dealt with Reptile depot for many years as far as feeders, my beautiful saharan uromastyx I got from him about 6 years ago. He's a GOOD guy and I think he's TOPS in my book

As far as collareds he carries to sell, I belive being a resident of california or/ pet store you are not allowed to sell native collareds, none from your same area. I think the law is you can GIFT them to someone but not sell.

Also I think there is a limit on how many you can own yourself if you live there (collareds native to Cal) So that why he only sells eastens, mostly collected in Texas.

(This is all my thoughts) You would have to ask Will Wells or BrockN. or somebody that lives or lived there for the exact laws.

Yeah that sounds pretty weird.

I know here in Nevada there is a law, that limits the number of reptiles pulled from the wild without special permit. Somthing like 2 per season. With a max of 3 per species.

W.C. collared... I wouldnt buy em. There are already good Collared breeders out there. Why encourage theses big $$$ retailers to pay some poor guy $5 a Day to pillage our beautiful desert of wildlife.

Go with a breeder, no worries on parasites, better behavior behind glass, you know where he is comming from and even get to see parents. Ect.

In California C. bicinctores and C. vestigium can't be sold because they occur in the state naturally. C. dickersonae, C. collaris and C. nebrius can be sold.
