looking for a pet snake, what kind?

themann42 Jun 11, 2006 03:00 PM

i was wondering what kind of small snakes are in the hobby that could be kept in enclosures that are 12"x12"x18". i know it's a small tank, about 10 gallons, so that's why i'm looking for suggestions. i posted here because i'm looking for small snakes, not necessarily terrestrial snakes. thanks.

forgot to mention. i'd prefer to find a snake that doesn't want to hide the whole day if that's possible, but i assume many small terrestrial snakes like to hide under logs and such.

Garter snakes are good small snakes. They are active snakes and easy to keep.
