just a little something

xblackheart Jun 11, 2006 03:06 PM

here is just a little something that I thought you all might enjoy. I used to have the attack snake sign on my display tank, but moved it to my pet room door and added one. Will also include the pic of my display tank you all have probably seen before.

I love that cage system. Did you buy it or make it? THere's a great article a few months back in Reptile Magazine on how to change a dresser into a snake cage, and I'm itchin' to make another one. Here's a picture of the big guy I have. Opens from the rear, but it's on casters, so it rolls easy. I love the front opening on yours. How hard is it to light?

I have been real lucky about being in the right places at the right time. I am in touch with the guy who owns the local petstore. When he upgraded to new displays, he sold me the black one for $100. The only bad part is the bulbs are on the inside with the snakes. I prefer to use untertank heaters.
The other display that I have, I bought from Petco when they were moving locations. I got a run of tanks for $20 each. Again, undertank heaters are easier. The only bad thing about the sliding doors, some snakes have figured out how to slide them open. I keep locks on those tanks!! lol.
