I hate you.

That is an awesome deal. I suppose you'll find out when they send pics.
Just make sure it's an albino BALL and not an albino BURMESE.
It's a simple mistake that could end in disaster if not caught right away.

Good luck.

Maybe not, from an adoption agency. Have you seen pics of it yet? Fer that amount of money I'd be on it in a heart beat.

That to me sounds suspicious..I mean..why would an adoption agency who works over the internet NOT know how to send pictures? Do you konw for sure it's a reputeable group, and not just someone who added "rescue" to their name to sound trustworthy?

People don't buy albino balls for 2K and then give them up for adoption........

If you take it sight unseen, if you do infact get a snake, it'll probably be an albino burmese.

Uhhh...

While I agree with your premise I have to disagree with the "evidence". Macaws are adopted all the time in SoCal. Different? Of course, but still possible.

Just not probable.

Dude you have to be DEE DEE DEE! to think that someone is going to sell you a 1000 gram female "albino BALL python" for $250.00
you will get a burm.

Melinda666 Jun 12, 2006 01:43 PM

bwaaaahaaaaaahaaaaa It does sound a bit too good to be true. I was in the pet store one day with my Albino male BP. After finding out how much I paid, the lady that runs the place says "you can get those for $250"

Guess I've been buying from all the wrong places.

I hope you put her in her place. Any pet store owner should know better. And she should also know that you can actually get an albino burm for $100.

rfarris Jun 11, 2006 11:40 PM

Did you say you'd pay $250 for a female subadult? Sounds to me like you said something like that, and she decided to put "albino" in the mix. If you send the money, I'd expect for you to recieve either :

A) nothing
B) a normal subadult
C) albino burmese

Good luck!

I am willing to say it is a scam. A friend of mine called me a few days ago and said he had been chatting with a "rescue" that took in a bunch of balls on a cruelty case. All balls were $200 OBO according to the e-mail I was forwarded. It started out as a pied, then there was an albino, then there were hets. I told my friend to not fall for it, and told him to request pics of each individal snake he was interested in, with a specific item (certain can of soda, dated newspaper, etc). Once he asked for those pics, he has yet to hear back from this "rescue". I also pointed out that rescues don't put OBO after their "adoption" fee. If is sounds too good to be true, more than likely, it is.

goregrind Jun 12, 2006 05:42 PM

i told this lady to have a paper with something specific writen on it
