The pictures on Proexotics site looks like a flavi/argus cross. I think the crosses are the best medium sized monitors there are. They are fun to work with. In my experiences, they are not near as hard to handle as a big argus. We handle ours without the need for gloves, and I have never had an adult try to bite. Very seldom do they ever attempt to whip, and that has only been if they were startled (which is my fault). Our adult males range from 43-47 inches at one and a half to two years of age. Our females are quite a bit smaller at around 36-40 inches. What is awesome is the coloration. The variations in pattern and color seem endless. They are active and curious. I could set and watch them go about their daily activities for hours. Ours dig, bask, soak throughout the day. They generally cost around $300 (I have seen them range from $250-$450). They are usually more expensive than an argus, but quite a bit less than a pure flavi. We have a pretty decent care sheet on our site if you would like to read it. Have a great day.

I agree with Jeremy...fun to watch!!! I purchased mine for $300 each. Here's a pic of one. The pair was born in Feb.

This is a goulds/flavi cross. She is just about ready to breed now and i have raised her up with an argus. i will cross her to a different one though as both are females and i have an adult male argus already. They sell for about 450 singly, less in groups for the argus/flavi/goulds crosses. They get about 3 feet and feed well on f/t mice or whatever (typical gouldi complex garbage disposals)
cheers, andrew

Crossed with Argus to whom ever asked.
I own those animals you saw the photos of on PE's website. They are very cool animals all the way around. Very good temperment, strong appetite, good size. Large but not to large to handle. Each of mine are right in the 3 foot range. Very nice animals.
Not sure what else to say. You pretty much have to own one to understand.
Email me if you have any specific Qs.
Later, Gene
