a respiratory infection lasts in a collared lizard normally? it seems like poor walt has been sick for like two plus weeks now because he was sick before gracie died. i just wanted to know if that was normal. the last two mornings he has woken up on his own but he still sleeps alot.

i must have lizards on the brain because i have dreamt about them the last four nights, ha ha

It's normal for them to take quite awhile to recover, plus the medicine takes it's toll on them Bonnie. Antibiotics kick their butts for awhile. Think of yoruself when you have a bad chest cold, (sometimes it really lingers)

If you are not satified with the way he looks call your Vet and tell him. If you feel you SEE an improvement than just be patient and let him recoup!

I hope he feels better soon. How are the rest of the crew?

ha ha, just had to pick there is an improvement, like he has been coming out on his own to bask. i just didn't think he would be gasping still but it does take lizards a while to heal.

everyone else seems to be doing fine. jolly probably rivals walter in weight right now. her tail is so fat that it had to shed to make room, ha ha. ivan's vent is fine, it was just swollen that one day and everyone else is chipper and kaiser has a new found love for the fake leaves in the cage. he is continuously trying to blend in with them.
