I'm using up more than my share of bad luck~ that should help balance things a bit.
Sucks for me though......
Lets see......
I couldn't get my het pieds to breed last year~ They were big enough (late 02 pair from Kahl) but would not co-operate with MY plans
I got ONE clutch from a pair of possible het Axanthics last year~ it proved out to have NO axanthics (6 healthy normals~ thats good news at least!)
I couldn't get my het pieds to breed this year~ or for the male to breed any females at all~ so I bought a new proven het pied male from RDR to replace him (money I didn't want to spend to replace a perfectly healthy but queer snake late in the season)
The other snakes (het ghost, het albino, het pastel males to normal females) were all breeding like mad. Put the new Het pied male into the rotation~ he bred his girls...I had high hopes........I bred over 20 females this year all together.......
A rack accidently got turned off after the warm up~ I don't know for how long......aparently too long.......
My het pied female came down with a resp infection......(she seems better now~ but not gravid as far as I can tell)
I've gotten three clutches this year (over twenty females bred~ three clutches) from three different sires (the het pied, the het albino and the het ghost)........all three clutches were dead. Slugs. I put them in the incubator~ but I knew they were dead to start with and now they are just little yellow ROCKS holding places in my empty incubator.......
All three of those clutches came from girls in the rack that got turned off. The rack that did not get turned off.....well.....those girls are not giving me dead eggs......just NO eggs at all.
So~ I've taken up some of the bad luck
Hope it helps~ cuz I'm pretty much hating it!
