Healthy Dozen...

vjl4 Jun 13, 2006 11:29 AM

Came home from a long weekend to find that my big sinaloan girl had laid an even dozen, looks like 10 are fertile. I like the math on the dozen though.....

I have to congratulate you on those animals-some of the very few sinaloans I've seen posted that actually appear to be purebred, and not nelsoni or nelsoni integrades! nice wide red bands, low band count, and the right shade of red. Good for you!

Thanks, I waited a long time before buying a pair to find the nicest ones I could. I really like the low band counts on sinaloans, too bad there weren't more locality lines available.

Best,
Vinny

Love the sinaloans pictured.

Here are some locality Cosala sinaloans that will grow up to be beauties like yours. I've seen the parents of these guys and they are stunning...wide, wide red bands.

Those are some nice babies, how recent are the pics? So far, Cosala are the only "locality" sins that I have heard of. They are supposed to get big too so those will be some impressive adults.

I got mine from a local breeder who assured me they were pure sinaloa and looked it so I was convinced. Wish I knew more of the history of mine, like the locality though.

Best,
Vinny

yours look like pure sins to me as well. Did they have the tangerine band as hatchilngs or did they develop that over time? Those sure are nice.

Here are some pics of the female Cosala that are very recent. These guys just eat like pigs and are growing like weeds. You gotta love it. Sorry the pics are so crappy.

>>Did they have the tangerine band as hatchilngs or did they develop that over time? They were actually pale yellow when they were hatchlings and after several sheds they oranged up. Last years clutch had some that were orange right from the start though, so I am curious what comes out this year.

They are super nice, sins are really under rated in my opinion.
