Something Different Hatching

In 05 we produced some faded looking Borneos which lacked the yellows and oranges that the rest of the clutch had. It seems that it may be genetic as our 06 animals from the same parents have the same appearance. The pics you see are a few of the animals from the 06 clutch.

Keith, very interesting indeed! Did those ones from last season stay like they looked in Daytona or have they had any color change since then? Could be some co dom thats only visible at birth.. and there is a super form? Time will tell, very interesting at any rate!

Hey Guys, Interesting how the 05s have turned out. They have gotten darker, in some areas very black. The faded sides are pretty much either black or white and most yellows or oranges are only on the head and along the back. Jordan, a super would be nice...maybe even more reduced yellow and orange? Needless to say these babies won't be going anywhere. Here's a pic. See you in Daytona.

Keith, if I were you I would keep all these neonates (Faded), I would thing it's a genetic color mutation and if they are bred together should produce all faded neonates, I am not sure of the name of that color mutation, I am sure some people could give you a better opinion, such as Ball Python color morph people and or even corn snake people, they look hypo or anery perhaps, it definately something if you ask me, if you keep them and breed male/female sibs together and they all come out "faded" then you will have proved the trait to be genetic, could someday be an important ingredient in producing something GREAT, sit on em lol
