PHEve ((HELP))) #III

We have eggs, five nice little white/pinkish ones, the Incubator came the day before the eggs did, I think she waited to see the U.P.S. guy come before she would lay the eggs, I was unable to fined any of the Vermiculite so I got the Perlite, I put the Perlite in the container, wet it down very good and set it in the Incubator for a few hours at 84f. before removing the eggs and putting them in the Incubator, but the Perlite seems very course, should I crush it up to get better contact with the eggs or use it the way it is? She did use the nest that we put together for her, she ran off the other Lizards and protected the nest till she buried the whole thing then went to the other side of the tank and rested for a while then eat some bugs, crawled under a rock and buried herself. thanks for all your help and advice, now lets hope for zero mortality rate. (((PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE)))

i don't see anything wrong with the way they are sitting in the perlite. perhaps you have one, but i would recommend putting a "lid" on the plastic container. i have used a side of a zip lock bag and cut a quarter sized hole in the middle

congrats on the eggs, these next 40-60 days will be really nerve wracking for you

Thanks, I coverd them with a Freezer bag and a rubber band then cut some small holes in the corners of plastic. and then took the whloe thing to work, where the offices are air conditioned and I can control the temp's better, I thought if the eggs can jump around with mommy they could handle a half hour ride in the car, but just in case I set the Incubator on two pillows to soften the ride, I don't want any scambled eggs at this point in the game.
