BEST time to sex is when they are hatchlings. Waiting for them to get bigger is NOT an advantage.

90% of breeders sex them out of the egg.

as you can see shes a little on the thin side,I feel that even my smallest probe might hurt her,I just want to put a few meals in her just to boost her health and body weight b4 I probe her

The smallest probe on the market would be too small for her! I use a probe about as thick as a sewing needle on my hatchling balls.

Small probes can hurt (puncture) ANY sized snake. And getting her fatter isn't going to make the cloacal opening any bigger.

And not in a cool way.
Get some fluids and food in her.
That ridged back-bone doesn't look healthy at all...

Popping hatchlings are EASY! I pop mine a few times (not in a row) I guess you could say i triple check. if im unsure then i'll probe.

man shes so thin that there is nothing to pop yet,ima get a little weight on her first

In my opinion weight doesn't matter if you are very experienced in popping a snake. Especially a fragile hatchling.
Probing is really a bad idea in you are not extremely experienced at that especially on a hatchling or an animal that is not at 100% health. If you do not know how to pop take it back to NWE and see if they'll do it for you or find a reliable breeder that knows what they are doing before you injur the snake. You can ruin a future breeder by popping incorrectly.
She is a really pretty snake though!

But it's super easy to pop a fat well hydrated hatchling right out of the egg. I wash mine off in luke warm water as they come out and they practically pop themselves. I would think a dehydrated import might not be nearly as easy.

This is a beginner type question. But exactly how do you pop and what do you look for? My snake is unsexed (I call it a female) and nobody near me knows how to sex one. There are no breeders local.
