How to switch from live to f/t?

Hello,
I was wondering what is the best approach for switching my bp from live mice to f/t. He is roughly 16 inches and when i offered a f/t fuzzie he would have no part of it, but when i offered him a small live mouse he didn't hesitate to attack and eat.
