Herp Vet in the Area?

dragonlovers Jun 14, 2006 02:36 PM

Hello, I live in Picayune,MS, right near the LA and MS line by the Gulf Coast. I have a pet corn snake named Ruby, which I purchased at one of your herp expos. For the past two sheds, she has been having problems with one the scales on her head. Even in between shedding, it looks bad, and I think it may be infected.
Can you please refer me to a qualified herp vet in this area? I have been unable to locate one, and am concerned because I believe Ruby needs to be seen by a doctor. I would be willing to travel a couple of hours if needed, as long as it is not too far.
Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon.

Go to www.arav.org for a state by state listing of veterinarians who have an interest in reptiles. Also, Dr. James Askew is in Perkinston MS at 228-831-4660 and Dr. John Edwards in Slidell LA at 985-626-5615.
