my new eastern

rhyion Jun 14, 2006 03:49 PM

caught me a female(i think) 30 inch eastern milk today. it was hanging out with another one the same size, but not mating or anything, just hanging out together. i have it in a 10 gallon right now with a thin layer of aspen substrate. some dry leaves, a water bowl, and a rock hide. what is the temperature suposed to be for them? i have a 40 watt bulb thats right over the tank, will that be to warm for it? also, can i feed it fuzzy mice?

thanks

I would move it out of the 10 gallon and into a 20 gal. Also, get rid of the spotlight and buy a heat pad to set on one side of the tank. Other than that you should be fine. Fuzzy mice will do ok and temp could be somewhere around 75F-88F.Good luck...
