Sad news

hd Aug 01, 2003 07:15 AM

Silver passed away sometime in the middle of the night. For those who don't know who Silver was, she had under gone a surgery a year or so ago to remove a calcified egg. I had posted photos that were taken during her operation here.

I will miss her. She was the first collared lizard I got and she was very special to me.

It is a sad day!

I feel as though I went through that ordeal with you, as you allowed us all in on her suffering and recouperation, so we could learn more. Not only was she a tough cookie, but a beautiful girl, sad indeed, but treated like a queen by you guys I'm sure ! take care, and hope your sadness will pass soon, and just happy thoughts of her will stay, saddened also, Eve

That is really sad news. I remember your pictures and what you experienced. You also helped me out when I had a female with some egg problems (unfortunately she didn't survive the surgery). It is always sad when "pets" die and the first ones are always more special.

She will definitely be missed.

She seemed healthy and had definitely gained all her weight back and then some. She was eating fine...it's just a total shock that it happened.

She will be going into a concrete vault I'm building for her. Sue's Chuckwalla "Larry" will be also joining her. We had to have her put down due to her poor health from the previous owners. We kept her alive for two years but it got to the point her system just wasn't working right and the Vet suggested we put her down.

We have a place picked out in our reptile/garden area that we'll lay them to rest at.

and would be real sad if something happened to them. Larry and Silver were extremely lucky to have had such good and loving people parents, :0) Stay happy ! Eve
