bnllife05 Jun 14, 2006 09:17 PM

i purchased a baby leopard gecko from the local petsmart about twoo weeks ago. Within the last couple of days i have noticed a blue or black spot on his/her belly. His/her tail is also very skinny. he/she is maybe a little bit older than a month. if any one has any answers please respond.

I just went through a very similar. I took my skinny little guy to the vet and they said it was dehydrated and when that happens, their entire gastrointestinal tract shuts off and they can't digest food. You probably can't fix this on your own - you should take it into a vet so they can properly diagnose it. Mine is still in the hospital and they are giving it fluids. I guess it is doing a lot better now. You should definitely get it some medical attention!!

I would for sure take it to the vet, there is risk of impaction, if it's tail is skinny then I would think it is more than dehydration, which would give the tail a shriveled appearence. Good luck
