Would this work?Breeding Question?

python36 Jun 14, 2006 09:41 PM

I have 5 females and one male. Would it work if I had the females each in their own cage and rotated the male through all five cages? If I did this how long Should I leave the male in with each female to assure that they have copulated? The reason I want to do this is I really want to be able to tell who mothered the eggs.

It would probably work, but might be a little hard on your male. I would think a week with each gal would suffice, unless your boy is too worn out! I would give him a good rest after awhile. There have been times that I really wanted to know which female of several was the mother, too.
