Best of luck with him. I love the big pepper flecks and yellowish tinge hets commonly have.

Has coral been proven simple recessive by someone?? I am not always up on these things, but I had not heard that yet, but I have seen quite a few ads for it. Craig

Hey Craig, I bought this 05' male from Peter Kahl very recently...he was out of a Coral albino to Jungle breeding....The way I understand the Coral trait is it really polygenic....but even polygenic if you think about it means hets...

The animal is a carrier for the genetic trait...but being polygenic not all the babies will get the major dose of the genes ....and some may not get it at all....

As for this male I posted..he has a deep red head...and put next to regular colored animals he is just bursting with reds....I am sure the camera shot lost a bunch of his color...but just wanted to share his pic as he is a new animal to me.

Yours is def. a nice animal, I have just been hearing het for coral so much lately I thought maybe somebody had proven it. I don't get online as much as I would like, so I miss a lot. Craig
