Hi there, I live in Canada. I was hoping to attend some reptile shows in the US, and bring over a Sambava or Ambilobe Panther. Does anyone know the fees involved and trouble to cross the border?

You will have to go through the entire importation/exportation routine. You will have to be licensed on both sides of the border, you will have to apply for export CITES from the US. You will have to be inspected by USFW before you can cross the border etc.etc. You can get all the information you need from USFW DMA.

Thanks for the informative information. Probably way too much trouble for just 1 or 2 chameleons. Do you know of any retailers of Ambilobes or Sambavas that ship to Canada?

unless the retailer is in Canada the same process is going to have to be accomodated. IT won't be cost effective for just a few animals.
