HUNGER STRIKE!!Please HELP!!!!

njames78 Jun 15, 2006 07:09 PM

My male pastel has not ate for 3 months. He looks very unhealthy, and has lost considerable weight, he can't even shed right. I tried soaking him for the shed and to get him rehydrated today, but don't look like it did much good, if any at all. I don't know where else to turn. Any help would be appreciated, also if you know a good herp vet in the north Houston,Texas area, please send me their information. Thanks, Nick. njames78@yahoo.com

My best advice would be to treat him for enternal parasites with panicure and or flaygl. Parasites are a common cause of this condition. You can contact Dave Doherty at (218) 364-8333. Dave is a friend of mine for many years, and a well known reptile vet! He has a practice in the Woodlands Tx wich I believe is in north Houston. Hope that helps Shawn L.
