coloration question

garteaser4 Jun 15, 2006 08:19 PM

hey i have a female blue beauty and shes about 7-8 months old, boy does she grow fast also, and i was just wondering when does the olive coloration start to really turn blue, around what age do you really start seeing the colors come in? does it really start to change as they mature?

It tends to be a slow steady change but they show most of their adult color by the time they are in the 4 to 5 ft. range in my opinion. They just get better with each shed. Randy

Blue Beauty's are sexually dimorphic. Males are the ones that become really blue. Females on the other hand tend to olive or turquoise colors as adults.
