I've had my gator for almost 4 years and would like to build a deck 12ftX6ft. The gator new home would be 6ftX6ft Plenty of room for the moment. It will have a pond, hot box or basking area, shaded area.
My question is it possible to keep the gator outside year round in PA?
I know the pond will have to be heated and she will need a hot box to stay warm in. My reasone for asking is I talked to a guy from NY who clams he keeps his gators outside all year.
Is it possible and how safe would it be for my gator. I don't wanna try this without the facts and if it's a 5050 chance. I will bring here inside just as easy But I know she'd love the natural light and temp changes in the summer.
