Does the pattern of the adults affect the pattern of the babies or is it random, like the amount of white in pieds? The one in the lower right of your photo looks so much better than the one on the lower left. I wondered if the lower right would produce nicer offspring. Also are the clowns usually good feeders and grow quickly.

As far as we know is it random but we are trying to refine the Clown for an awesome head pattern. Which we will.. Tracy's lineage at VPI is unbelievable. Giant and voracious period. My biggest female weighs just under 7 lbs and she is a homozygous clown female. She layed these eggs and you couldn't tell she layed after she did.

Just wanted to second that "DAMN". I absolutely love clowns and "someday" is good enough for me!

Or is that reduced one at the bottom one of the best ever produced?

that have the reduced spoting but lots of rain drop shaped flames myself. That one is gorgious though. Then again ALL clowns are!
