Also, do females ever show some colour, or just oranges and browns?

Also, do females ever show some colour, or just oranges and browns?
my veiled girl gets "fired up" a good deal and it doesn't take very much. the other day i was eating a lime popsicle and the bright color got her really mad and she did get "fired up". hope this helps

yes they do but not like males.
male panthers are the only ones to really show their local .
the female panthers all look simalar in color mabe alitte added colors from their local.
females dont need the display colors to defend territory that much they need the stress colors to get the males away. and then they get those added colors when gravid which cant be completly different than any color they have every shown
Alot of posts and pics lead me to believe that you guys have your chameleon's out alot?
Is it alright to have them out? I know handling them bothers them, but what if you just put them on the couch and sit there?

(and Jake, Peter, and Mary) the lizard family.
i handle hank all the time. he doesnt care. well maybe he does, because whenever i take all the lights off the cage, he gets mad because he knows im gonna grab him, but then when he knows its me, he calms down, and turns a turquoise color.
it depends on the chameleon, i think. i could be wrong.
