I have a pair that is doing ok. Here is how I keep them. I have them in a ten gallon breeder on calcium sand with a cork bark round as a hide and a water dish. I have a heat pad under one end. I feed them dusted crickets three times a week, usually about five a piece. I also mist their cage lightly three times a week, this is when they seem to do most of their drinking. They will also eat meal worms and the occasional pinkie mouse. BTW don't feel bad about the impulse buy, I think everyone does it from time to time. You could also look for care sheets online. Try searching the sci. name Teratoscincus roborowskii if you do not have any luck with the common name.
