pastel questions

goose82 Jun 16, 2006 08:16 PM

i have a male pastel that is very yellow compared to lots of pastel pics i see. i have also seen pics of lemon pastels that are not as yellow as my male. this being said-what is a lemon pastel then? i thought they were supposeed to be more yellow than a regular pastel. If a pastel is more yellow would that make it a better pastel than those which are notb very yellow. ive seen some pretty brown pastels--sop what signifies a pastel exactly? a lot of questions i know but any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. i am work now so will try to post a pic tomorrow

pastel quality varies with the quality of the parents..i wouldnt be so quick to call it a lemon..graziani..etc etc that refers to a specific line...sounds like you have a high quality pastel...be selective with the females you breed it to and you should continue to have high quality animals
