Breeding Question, How Unusual???

SnakeSmith Jun 16, 2006 08:36 PM

Hey Everyone,
I was wondering if you guys/gals breed or atempt to breed your balls still at this time of year. The reason I ask is that I have some females that are up around 1500 grams that were not a few months ago. I feel they are of adequate size now though I have not introduced them to any males yet. Should I wait til next season or do I have a chance for some late clutches? Your responses are much appreciated!
Thanks,
Glenn

Like you I have girls that are now up to weight but I'm just going to wait till fall. Why bother getting potentially a small clutch late in the season when you can let them continue eating all summer and then get a larger clutch in the fall?

Exactly what I was thinking, but I have to say... It sure would be nice to hatch them sooner than later. I'm really in no rush and that is why I was curious as to what the rest of you do in this case. Anyway, much thanks for your reply!
