What am I? (Pics)

phiber_optikx Jun 16, 2006 10:59 PM

What am I? This was given to a friend of mine who has no idea of its specific care. They know it is a madagascan gecko and it needs high humidity and uvb but that is it. They said it was a "neon day gecko" but it doesn't look like any other pics I've seen. I know some of the pictures are blurry and the camera slightly exagerates the color but can someone give me an I.D. and a link to a care sheet? Thanks!

it is REALLY hard to tell with this picture. try to attach another one that is a little clearer. the view the picture was taken will also make it difficult, see if you can get the animal's back.

If you can't get a good picture, try to describe it. It is definitely a day gecko. It almost looks like a young juvenile standing's day gecko. They have bright green heads, and brownish-gray bodies and bright blue tails both with blue stripes. If I could figure out how to attach a picture I would. Sorry.

There is a good picture of a neon day gecko at: http://www.uniquepets.net/

Well...at least a Lygodactylus of the picturatus group. I would not dare to say more on that blurry pic without having seen gular patterns and more details.
There are quite some picturatus look alike Lygodactylus species out there.

But of course, its at least close to 100% correct.

What would you need to get a posative I.D. on him?

A close up of the gular region, a full dorsal shot and a close up of the anal region.
All with a resolution allowing scale counting.
