Average egg counts in relation to female

luketheduke Jun 17, 2006 01:54 AM

Just curious as to how many eggs (on average). I have a few females in the 2200 gram range and a few that by next season should be close to 2000 grams and quit a few that would be in the 1200-1800 gram range. My question is; how many egg's could I see (on average)from a 1500,1800,2000,and 2200 gram female? I'm just unsure if it would pay in the long run to breed a female under 2000 grams if it would only have one or two eggs? Thanks for any info. and try to take it easy on the newbee...LOL.

anywhere from 0 eggs upwards of 10 eggs. Each female is different and there is no standard guidline though typically the larger and older the female the more eggs you'll get.
