I have a nice colony of wild-caught Orangeburg County, South Carolina Eastern Kings (3.6). I started getting these guys in dribs and drabs last Spring but for whatever reason - none produced eggs until this morning. I have felt 12 eggs in this female for about 2 or 3 weeks but she ate a live mouse last night. Go figure? Well, she is busy laying the eggs right now and the ones I have seen are all fertile.
These should be undergoing their 1st shed the day I leave for Daytona (talk about counting your snakes before they hatch!!!)
