Picture on the post below. It took several weeks of treatment, the larger part healed fast, there was a lesion near his one leg and that took several weeks, but it has dried up and fallen off with nice pink skin under it.
This was not my dragon, but one that the owner came to the yahoo list group with. We have hundreds of pictures of dragons with this in various stages and looks...... but almost all are responding to the treatments and clear.
I think in the last 3 months of maybe the 50 we know of, 40 are clear now, 2 did not survive and the remainder are all improved and on the way to being healed. Thats just the ones from the list contacts, there are also many Vets working with bearded dragons that had or have it and staying in contact with us. And all of those dragons, but 2 had been on some antibiotics, (Albon is also an antibiotic) 2 months to 6 months before the yellow showed up.
Please, everyone use probiotics when medicating a bearded dragons, we know that there is something in them that keeps the yeast in balance in their digestive tract that is also dying off with the coccidia, other parasites or infections. Once that is removed, unless their system replaces it fast or owners add probiotics to replace it, they can develop this disease that will be fatal if not treated. One thing that we all notice improve right away is the dragons eating.
I recommend Acidophiliz by Pet Authority found in PetSmart, if your dragon has been treated at anytime with antibiotics, its never to late to use it.
