When will Deuce eat again?

BrandyG Jun 17, 2006 09:56 PM

My approx 8 year old snow corn has eaten about 4 times since December....2 baby rats and 2 adult mice. Mostly he refuses. He never brumates, and usually spends 3 weeks to 3 months 'looking for love'. He hasn't been a fussy eater until this year. He is still in good condition, not thin or ill, he did shed 2 times since December as well... And he poops every week!!!

The baby rats give him a small bulge, he doesn't even look fed after an hour or two.

But I wish he would eat regularly, he was runty at 6 months, and is just now over 6 feet and maybe 3 " around, head as big as my thumb...

Also, he occasionally makes a wheezy sound, but is NOT ill. Even the vet was mystified at the noise. Possibly a bored sigh or sound of iritation?

Other than those 2 things, he has been the absolute BEST pet ever!!

Of course, the day after I post and look for advice on my silly fella, he eats!

He had shed, but I didn't realize it until I took out his hidey hole when I cleaned his cage. He had bundled the shed up behind him, the sly guy!

Here are some pix of him enjoying his meal.
