The vet called back and said that the price for the operation would be $250, doesn't that seem extreme? Also my male leo w/ the prolapse is eating and going to the bathroom just fine, so could a leo live with a prolapse if it is kept clean?
P.S. I'm only 15 and have spent around $100 on the gecko for prior methods the vet tried. THANKS

i am not sure about it being extreme but i have a question not regarding it... do u have an aol sn? believe it or not, we have almost the same herps except the leopard geckos, if u want, i would like to talk...off the forum, it takes too long.

that does seem high....can you call the vet that is 2 hrs away and see what that estimate would be? i wouldn't suggest letting the gecko live with the prolapse. it could get infected and cause more problems and more vet bills. i have heard rumors about the hemipenile falling off after some time but i think they are rumors...i wouldn't bet on it.
