Photo of abused beardie from post yesterday ...

veronicag Aug 01, 2003 11:15 AM

Yesterday I posted a story about an 18 month old beardie that was very small, mistreated, and malnourished. I originally thought the beardie was a year old, now I find out that she was 6 months old when the owner bought her a year ago. It's hard to believe that a beardie of her age is this small. I have her in my care for 10 more days and I intent to change things for this poor little girl. She's getting calcium everyday on crickets or her salad, she's getting a multi vitamin twice a week and lots of fresh greens, veggies, and fruit. The vet will check her fecal next week. I'll keep you all posted.

I'm glad you have a chance to make this dragons life a little more enjoyable. He's not going to want to leave you.lol. Just give him all the love you can while you have him, and make sure her owner changes her care a bit. I hope the owner will treat him a bit better after you tell her the proper care he needs. Good Luck.

i just read the post below about how this animal has been kept, i think its amazing it has lived. i recently took a corn snake of someone i knew who was leaving the country. this guy is a 2 year old male corn about 3 foot long and it was still only being fed 2 small pinkie mice a week.
i dont think the person was being malicious in anyway just that they hadnt rexearched their animal like they should have

its satisfying knowing im treating him right and watching him get bigger
