So recently I have bought quite a few more Uros. I purchased another Banded from DFF, and then bought two Egyptians from Lindsay Pike. Then, a couple of customers came into the Reptile store I work at with a large Mali Uromastyx. They had bought this guy in 2002. They had the original reciept and everything, and had taken SPECTACULAR care of this guy. They had gone online and did all the research they could and went to wildoats every week to get salad to prepare for this beast. I made me veyr happy to see that there are people out there who will buy a single first reptile pet and actually care for it well. Unfortunately, they are no longer able to care for him because of family matters, so I am took him home. I have not come up with a name for him, and I didn't get a name from the people who had him before. So any suggestions?

And I am posting some pics of my new Egyptians, and my bandeds, and on other forums some chuckwallas and geckos.lol.

Here are the new Egyptians. I am hooked on uro's. I have bought 4 in the last week.lol. They are my favorite lizards I have ever owned by far.

The first here is the boy and the second is the girl. Don't have names for them either.lol. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Here are the two banded uros. The larger one I just got from Deer Fern Farms and the smaller one I bought from my store when he came in from Xtreme Reptile originally. The smaller is named Maximus and the larger has yet to be named again. lol.

Very nice looking. The first banded photo looks like my female that I got from Doug. Your new mali is very striking with the stripe down his back. Congrats!

Thank you very much for the compliments. I hope that the little banded turns out to be a female, it is much smaller than the larger male from Doug, I would hate to have to split them up. That larger Mali is a cool find. Turns out we had a reptile show that day too, and there was a pair of Mali's at the show that I wanted but were sold before I could get to them. So when that big boy came in the store I had to have him.
Thanks again.

We have a reptile show coming this Friday. I keep telling myself I'm just going to look but I'll probably end up with another Mali or two before the day is over The only bad thing about expos is that you are taking a chance in getting a healthy animal. Yours all look really great.

Thanks again. I know how the show experience goes. As long as they look good and the vendor seems trustworthy, your typically ok.

If I am not careful I might have to get this big Mali a female. I just have to make sure I don't go broke.lol. School is coming up again and I have to pay for student housing this year.lol. Thankfully they allow reptiles where I am staying. lol.

I'd go with Granola, since he was fed from Wild Oats market - hippy tree-hugger theme and all. It's nice to hear some people do take care of their pet store purchases!

Actually, I AM a hippie tree-hugger type, so no worries. We no longer have a Wild Oats in town, but there's plenty of organic goodness around here for me and my uros.

Lol, that is a good thing really. My mom is a hardcore veggetarian and is really into healthy living.

We used to have a couple of Wild Oats around here but now there is only one. But it is close to my house so it helps not to use a ton of gas to get there.

A Stunning looking new bunch of buddies ya have there, loved them all. Mali is a big ole handsome guy, definitely needs a lady, the bandeds are really cute and I'm sure will turn into adult beauties as well.

And I do have a soft spot for egyptians, so I think they are very beatiful youngsters.

I wish you all the best with them all, keep the pics coming.

Thanks for the compliments. I have always wanted an Egyptian but I have been unable financially to afford them and school at the same time. But since I have been selling a lot of my art lately it has become easier to get some of the Uro's I want. I still want to get the big Mali boy a female, and I want to get some Indian Uros, they are super cool. But then Im done for a while.lol.

Your big Egyptian looks like a sweetheart. lol. I hope my get as big as her and I hope they calm down, flighty little dudes.lol.

I am majoring in Illustration right now. Main focus being Medical illustration or any type of illustration that makes enough money to get by.lol.
With my personal artwork I usually use figures to solve personal problems in my own life, usually with acrylic paint or pen using crosshatching or pointilism. My reptiles occur in my art freqeuntly but have never been the cause of any problems.lol.

I think you have some great herps, and they all look amazingly healthy. Thanks for the compliments here and in the chuck forum.lol.

Great looking guy you have there. Looks like a Fred to me, I don't know why because I don't know any Freds, just looks like Fred fits him. I'm sure whatever name you pick will be the right one and you'll have a great time together.
