i got this little snake which looks a great lot like a salmon sunglow boa. it is about 2 feet long and really cute. i wanna keep it but i dunno which, uh... lets say environmental requiements it has - humidity, temperature and things like those - and i dont know what to feed it with - obviously mice but death or alive? its sooo tiny and i dont want any filty mickey mouse to injure her. Please help me and my beautyful Rosenrot!!!

I'd recomend doing some research on just what kind of snake you have, and just what kind of habitat it needs. Temprature, humidity, substrate, cage size, prey and prey size, etc. are all requirements that can be rather important, and can't really be stated without knowing more about the snake.

Can you post a pic?

Where did you get this snake?

In any case, live prey is not recomended. Yes, live prey can be very dangerous. Not only can they seriously injure a snake (especially a baby snake) but they can also harbor parasites. Best to purchase frozen rodents from a reputable breeder.

my first response didn't make it on some how, so here's my second... delayed.

The species is more important in deciding husbandry... for example, a motley boa constrictor is kept the same as a sunglow. Is this definately a boa constrictor?

Go to the cornsnake forum for info and buy a book about corn snakes online or at a petstore.
