I have 2 small female pits housed together with a medium male. The other day I got one of the females out to hold and noticed a small amount of what looked like dried blood around her vent. I did not put them down last winter because the females are small (under 48 inches) and this spring the male has showed absolutely no interest in them so I thought nothing of it. She is very tame and never seems to be stressed out. Is dried blood usually a sign of mating?
