SURPRISE HETS

xblackheart Jun 20, 2006 12:52 AM

Well, I already had one surprise Het. My amel female was het for anery because when bred to a snow, I got snow babies.

Well, the other pair of corns that I bred this year was a Anery female and a Hypo normal male. Turns out, BOTH were Het for motley!!!!!!!!!!! I got 3 motley babies out of 16 eggs. What are the chances that I bred the two snakes that are het for motley to each other?! I had 5 snakes to mix and match and I accidently chose those two for each other. Its exciting to not know your snakes genetic background! Kinda like christmas with the surprises.
Oh and by the way, these were the ones that were x-ray-ed. None of the babies have extra heads or glow in the dark! lol.

Here are two pics of one of the motley babies, and one pic of it with its normal clutch-mate.

Thank You for thinking of my little girl. Ya, she is being stubburn and will only eat live, but she devours two pinkies per meal. She has at least doubled in size since she decided to eat on her own. Can't wait until I can get her to frozen. I have 2 adults that I bought this year that also need to be transfered to frozen. My bloodred will only eat live and i just bought a Miami that only eats live. Live is just too expensive and dangerous.
