What else can I try besides warm water mists to help Navi and Nigel shed the skin from thier tails??

Raise the ambient humidity in the room by pla a/more humidifiers. Personally, I have seen the "Cool Mist" models to produce the most drastic humidity change. I'll be buying a few in the coming months.

Should I just put it near their cages or with the mist actually hitting them for a little while?? Thanks

Just near the cages will help. Unless you wanted to do something such as this:
Humidifiers and Chameleon Enclosures
